Four Roses
The Kentucky bourbon brand of Four Roses have hailed a new era of ownership with two limited edition bottlings. The first kicks off a new series of innovative bourbons – the Four Roses Experimental Series. This will push boundaries of what bourbon can be. The Four Roses Experimental Series No.001 is a bourbon made with a rye-forward mash bill. It has been aged for six years in new American oak, and finished in Japanese mizunara oak barrels.

The Experimental Series No.001 is released at 52% ABV (104 Proof) and will be available exclusively at the distillery’s visitor centre in Lawrenceburg from the end of July. The price will be US$55 for a 375ml bottle.

The second bottling is the brand’s oldest aged bourbon to date and the inaugural bottling in the new premium Anthology Series. The Four Roses Anthology Chapter One: Origin is released at 21 Years Old and bottled at the natural strength of 62.5% ABV (125 Proof). It is limited to just 1,200 bottles. These are again exclusive from the distillery visitor centre from July 10 and at a special event on Whiskey Row, Louisville on July 11. A bottle will cost US$500.
Lindores Abbey
The Lowland distillery of Lindores Abbey have announced a new addition to its core range, which has seen maturation in four different ex-sherry cask types. The Lindores Abbey Nectere is named after the Latin word ‘conectere’ meaning ‘to connect’. It is made using barley cultivated on land in the Kingdom of Fife previously farmed by the monks of Lindores Abbey.

Nectere features maturation in ex-Amontillado, ex-Oloroso, ex-Palo Cortado and ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is released at 47.2% ABV and is both non-chill filtered and of natural colour. It is initially available from selected specialist whisky retailers in the UK and distillery visitor centre in Fife. A bottle will cost £65/ US$85.
Rare Find
The Edinburgh-based independent bottler has announced details of its latest seasonal releases. The Rare Find Summer 2026 Collection features four single cask single malts, ranging from 9- to 14 years of age. The whiskies demonstrate how different styles of maturation can shape, enhance and transform some of Scotland’s most compelling distillates. All will be available from Rare Find stockists in the UK from July 2. Details of the four bottlings are listed below:

- Blair Athol 12 Years Old/ Maturing in a 1st fill ex-bourbon barrel/ 56.1% ABV/ 205 bottles/ £75
- Dalmunach 9 Years Old/ Finished for 17 months in a 1st fill ex-Oloroso sherry quarter cask/ 60.6% ABV/ 126 bottles/ £70
- Deanston 14 Years Old/ Matured in a 1st fill Napa Valley red wine barrique/ 57.3% ABV/ 268 bottles/ £95
- Mystery Islay 9 Years Old/ Finished for 18 months in a 1st fill ex-Oloroso sherry quarter cask/ 57.9% ABV/ 186 bottles/ £85.
Every cask tells a different story, and this collection is all about showcasing those contrasts. Whether it’s the modesty of bourbon maturation, the influence of premium wine casks or the intensity that quarter cask sherry maturation can bring. Each whisky demonstrates how carefully selected wood can reveal different dimensions of a distillery’s character.
