Nc’ nean

The Highland craft distillery of Nc’ nean has revealed two new limited editions in their Quiet Rebels series, created by the husband and wife Simon and Sarah Hewitt. Sarah leads Ncโ€™ neanโ€™s bottling operation and Simon is one of the teamโ€™s longest serving distillers. The Nc’ nean Quiet Rebels Simon is inspired by Simon’s love of beer. It has been initially matured in shaved, toasted, and reโ€‘charred (STR) ex-red wine casks before a finishing period in ex-stout barrels from Scottish brewery Innis & Gunn. It is bottled at 48.5% ABV and will cost ยฃ80.

The Nc’ nean Quiet Rebels Sarah is the first in the series to not be a single malt. It is a cream liqueur which is made using Nc’ nean’s organic single malt as the base and organic oat milk, rather than diary. It is recommended to be cosumed straight from the fridge over ice. It is released at 20% ABV and will cost ยฃ27.50. Both new products will be available in the UK and via www.ncnean.com from early October. Other world markets will follow shortly after.
