Ardnahoe
The family owned Islay distillery of Ardnahoe has announced the third bottling that will feature in its core single malt range. The Ardnahoe 5 Years Old Cask Strength Edition is exclusively matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. It is released at the natural cask strength of 60.9% ABV and is both non-chill filtered and of natural colour. It will join Bholsa and Infinite Loch in the permanent range. The new whisky will be available from October 30 via selected specialist whisky retailers in selected world markets and via the Ardnahoe website. A bottle will cost £65.

Auchentoshan
The Lowland distillery of Auchentoshan has started a revamp of its core domestic retail range with a new expression. The Auchentoshan 12 Years Old Double Cask replaces the previous 12 Years Old bottling. The new whisky also introduces a new livery and packaging design for the brand. This has seen Auchentoshan use more sustainable materials, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce bottle weight.

The Auchentoshan 12 Years Old Double Cask features a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, bith matured for a minimum of 12 years. It is released at 40% ABV and will be available worldwide via specialist whisky retailers and some supermarkets. A bottle will cost £38.
Douglas Laing & Co.
The family-owned independent bottling company of Douglas Laing has launched a new limited edition into its Remarkable Regional Malts range. The Gauldrons Eclipse features a finishing period in rare ex-Orange wine barrels, which were sourced from Jerez, Spain. As with all bottlings of The Gauldrons, the whisky only features single malts sourced from distilleries in the Campbeltown region.

The Gauldrons Eclipse is bottled at the natural cask strength of 52.9% ABV and is both non-chill filtered and of natural colour. There are just 3,000 bottles released. The new whisky will be available globally via selected specialist whisky retailers and douglaslaing.com.Each bottle will cost £70/ €80.
Kilchoman
The family-owned Islay farm distillery of Kilchoman has announced a limited edition extension to its popular 100% Islay bottling. The Kilchoman 100% Islay Sherry Cask Matured 11 Years Old features barley harvested on Kilchoman Farm in 2011, 2012 and 2013. These harvests were then distilled and filled to ex-Oloroso sherry butts and left to mature at the distillery. These butts were sourced from the José y Miguel Martín bodega in Jerez, Spain.

The 100% Islay Sherry Cask Matured features just 16 such casks and is bottled at 50% ABV. It is both non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The barley strain for the three harvests was Publican, which Kilchoman grew between 2010 and 2014. This new whisky will be available through specialist whisky retailers in selected world markets. A bottle will cost £95.
