The Dalmore

The north Highland distillery has introduced a new permanent addition to its core domestic range – The Dalmore 17 Years Old. The new whisky features a trio of ex-sherry casks sourced from the highly regarded González Byass bodega in Jerez, Spain. Initial maturation was in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before a lengthy finishing period in the three ex-sherry casks. These have previously held Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem Oloroso sherries.

A bottle will cost £175/ €200/ US$250.

Dewar’s

The popular blended Scotch brand of Dewar’s has revealed a limited edition exterior packaging for its Double Double travel retail range. The Year of the Fire Horse packaging commemorates two events. The first is the Lunar New Year. The second is Dewar’s 180th anniversary, which was founded by John Dewar in 1846. The box will be used for Dewar’s Double Double 20-, 26-, and 30-year-old whiskies.
