The whisky has been maturing in a single European oak cask, sourced from the famous sherry city of Jerez, for eight years and is bottled at the natural cask strength of 58.3% ABV. It is both non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The cask has yielded just 252 bottles and these will be available from Eden Mill’s store in Market Street, St. Andrew’s and via the Eden Mill website. A bottle will cost £110.

Johnnie Walker

The leading Scotch whisky blend of Johnnie Walker has announced details of its annual bottling that celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year. The year 2025 is the Year of the Snake and marks an extension of the collaboration between Johnnie Walker and artist James Jean.

Lochlea

The award-winning far-to-cask distillery of Lochlea in the Lowlands has released a new limited-edition – the Lochlea Stout Cask Finish. It is the first ever single malt from the distillery to feature maturation in such a cask. This has seen Lochlea collaborate with Glasgow-based brewery Overtone.

You will find it in selected specialist whisky retailers from early December. A bottle will cost £60.
